Doorkeepers

Are you wondering why we use the term Doorkeepers and not ushers?

The word “usher” is not found in the Bible. We did find in Psalms 84:10 where it says; “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Doorkeeping is a service rendered to God and an act which plays a part in conducting the worship service. Our goal is to make our members and guests as comfortable as possible so that their hearts and minds are ready to receive a blessing from God. During every service, the Doorkeepers greet our members and guests with a smile, a warm hello, a bulletin, and whatever else the situation calls for. Our service does not stop there. We also send cards and make phone calls to the sick and shut in.

We welcome you to come and visit with us. We would love for you to join us and become a Doorkeeper at Breath of Life.
